Associate Professor Allen Yuen

Dr Allen Yuen

Dr Allen Yuen is a Medical Acupuncturist and specialist Emergency Physician.

He retired recently as Director of Emergency at Epworth Hospital, after a career as Director of Emergency at Prince Henry's, Monash Medical Centre, The Valley and Williamstown Hospital.

He was also Chair of Accreditation, State Censor, Senior Examiner and Peer Reviewer for The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. He is a current examiner for The Australian Medical Council.

He graduated in Medical Acupuncture from Monash University, where the best aspects of traditional Chinese Medicine and Orthodox Western Medicine are recognised.

Treatment interests

His main focus is now medical acupuncture, with a special interest in migraine, neuralgia, neck and back pain and Parkinson's disease.

Dr Janet Hong

Dr Janet Hong is a GP and Specialist Medical Acupuncturist.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Melbourne University in 1996 and has worked in general practice medicine since 2000.

She underwent further training in medical acupuncture from Monash University and applies different disciplines of medicine to treat various conditions.

Dr Hong regularly attends conferences and seminars to keep abreast of the latest developments.

Treatment interests

Key areas include musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions, pre and post operative acupuncture, women’s health, paediatric and children’s health, and mental health concerns.

Len Bennett

Len Bennett is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, registered as an Acupuncturist with AHPRA.

Len graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Monash University and a Masters of Applied Science in TCM specialising in Acupuncture from RMIT.

He has spent time working in a hospital in China. He also spent 10 years working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, running group meditation practices and treating individuals with acupuncture to assist with the long term effects of their addictions.

He has an interest in returning the body to its natural balance and healthy functioning.

Len's listed treating interests include pain, migraines, musculoskeletal conditions, non allergic rhinitis, women's health conditions, digestion, mental health, anxiety, sleep issues and Bell's Palsy.
